How it works

From the moment you pick a challenge to the day a medal shows up in your mailbox. Four steps, and none of them involve nagging.

01

Pick a challenge

Every challenge has a theme and a goal — a distance to cover, or a habit to keep going. Browse until one feels right for your dog’s size, age, and general enthusiasm level. A ten-year-old pug and a two-year-old shepherd are not doing the same walk, and Feeroo does not pretend otherwise.

02

Your bandana ships

As soon as you join, the challenge bandana goes in the mail. Not after you finish — before you have walked a single step. Your dog gets to wear the thing while earning it, and their avatar in the app puts on the same bandana. What you own in real life is what shows up on screen.

03

Walk, at your pace

Your phone’s step counter does the tracking. Open the app if you want to see how far along the trail your dog has gotten, or do not open it at all — the walk still counts either way. Miss a day and nothing breaks. There is no streak to protect and nothing that makes you feel bad on a Tuesday.

04

Finish, and collect

Reach the end of the trail and the finisher pack ships out: a mini-medal magnet for the fridge, and a sealed treat or toy from one of our partner brands. Line the medals up as you go. Then pick the next challenge, or take a few weeks off. Both are fine.

A note on tracking

Steps, not surveillance

Feeroo counts steps using the same sensor your health app already uses. Location only helps sharpen distance while a walk is happening, and that stays on your phone — only the total ever reaches us. The trail you see on screen is artwork somebody drew. It is not a map of where you went, and it never will be.

Ready when you are

The first challenges go live with the app. Check back soon — or better yet, go take your dog around the block in the meantime.
