About Feeroo
A small company with one stubborn idea: the dog should get something out of the walk too.
Feeroo started with something you have probably noticed yourself. Every walking app on the phone is built to motivate the human — steps, streaks, rings to close. The dog, who has been waiting by the door since noon and is thrilled about all of this, gets nothing.
So we built the opposite. In Feeroo the dog is the main character. The challenges belong to them, the gear belongs to them, and the medal on the fridge is theirs. You are holding the leash, which is a real job and we are not diminishing it, but the story is the dog’s.
That one idea decides a surprising number of arguments. We do not send notifications designed to make you feel guilty, because guilt is not a feature and your dog cannot read them anyway. We do not put your neighborhood on a map, because an app about walking your dog has no business knowing your address. We ship the bandana before you have earned it, because a dog trotting around in their challenge colors is most of what makes this fun.
Feeroo is operated by Alevate LLC. We are small, we answer our own support email, and we would rather grow slowly and get this right than move fast and end up building the thing we set out to avoid.
Where this is going
A short list, honestly kept.
Things we will not do
Guilt notifications. Maps of where you walk. Selling your data. Global leaderboards that turn your dog into a rank.
Things we are building
More challenge themes, more trail artwork, and eventually opt-in sharing with people you actually know — never strangers.
Things we will tell you about
When something changes that affects your data or your dog’s rewards, you hear it from us first, in the app, before it happens.
Come along
Feeroo lands on iOS and Android soon. The download links show up right here on day one.
